Playing in the Premier League as a Professional English Football Club, Tottenham Hotspur has already carved its niches to become a formidable club offering decent competitions to others in the league. Also, known as Spurs, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has its home stadium in White Hart Lane in Tottenham. It got its first acclamation, when it became the first club to win the double sets of League as well as FA Cup in the season of 1960-61. In the year 1963, Tottenham Hotspur also became the first British Football club to win the European Trophy as well. Then it followed those up with winning FA cup twice in 1980s, FA Community shield and even the UEFA Cup in 1983-84.

Tottenham
Tottenham Hotspur’s emblem is a cockerel which stands upon a football and its motto is Audere est Facere (Latin Word) which means to dare is to do”. Tottenham Hotspur has a long standing rivalry with their arch rivals and neighbors Arsenal and their matches are termed as the North London Derby because of the high intensity in the games. Tottenham Hotspur is contemplating to change the dimensions of its stadium by 90 degrees so that it can upgrade it to a capacity of 52000.

Tottenham Hotspur changed its club’s badge by adding a couple of Red Lions as Heraldic and the motto scroll in 1983 to overcome from the unauthorized merchandising. For the next 23 years, this appeared on almost all the playing kits of Tottenham Hotspur. Then again, in 2006, the club badge and the coat of arms were again changed to the professional logo and emblem. This change brought up the cockerel and an ancient football with the club name.

As far as the sporting kits were concerned, Tottenham Hotspur didn’t have a consistent run with their dresses. Initially they had navy blue and shorts but soon in 1884, Tottenham Hotspur changed its kits similar to Blackburn Rovers. When they moved to Northumberland Road, they again changed their kits to Red shirts and blue shorts. Then again changed to Chocolate and gold stripped kit. Since then, Tottenham Hotspur has kept white and navy blues ever since those days.
