Tottenham Hotspur’s emblem is a cockerel which stands upon a football and its motto is Audere est Facere (Latin Word) which means to dare is to do”. Tottenham Hotspur has a long standing rivalry with their arch rivals and neighbors Arsenal and their matches are termed as the North London Derby because of the high intensity in the games. Tottenham Hotspur is contemplating to change the dimensions of its stadium by 90 degrees so that it can upgrade it to a capacity of 52000.
Tottenham Hotspur changed its club’s badge by adding a couple of Red Lions as Heraldic and the motto scroll in 1983 to overcome from the unauthorized merchandising. For the next 23 years, this
appeared on almost all the playing kits of Tottenham Hotspur. Then again, in 2006, the club badge and the coat of arms were again changed to the professional logo and emblem. This change brought up the cockerel and an ancient football with the club name.
As far as the sporting kits were concerned, Tottenham Hotspur didn’t have a consistent run with their dresses. Initially they had navy blue and shorts but soon in 1884, Tottenham Hotspur changed its kits similar to Blackburn Rovers. When they moved to Northumberland Road, they again changed their kits to Red shirts and blue shorts. Then again changed to Chocolate and gold stripped kit. Since then, Tottenham Hotspur has kept white and navy blues ever since those days.
