Newcastle United Football Club, nicknamed as The Magpies or The Toon, is a very professional football club based in England. Situated in Newcastle upon Tyne, Newcastle United Football Club plays for the Premier League. Founded in 1892, Newcastle United Football Club has been the result of merging of two clubs, namely: Newcastle East End and Newcastle West End and since then, they have been playing at their home ground at St. James Park. Historically the club has been the 8th most successful club in the England’s Football history. They have won FA cup 6 times, First Division Championship 4 times, and also the Inter Cities Fairs Cup on the European stage in 1969. Sunderland stands to be their biggest rival of date and they have been playing against each other since 1898.

Newcastle
Newcastle United Football Club’s jerseys colors are Black and white striped shirts with black shorts and socks. The fans of the Newcastle United Football Club are called as Toon Army. Mike Ashley, the English Businessman bought the Newcastle United Football Club’s stake of 41.6% for £55m on 23rd May, 2007. Then, on 29th of October, England also made a bid for the 2018 world wide watched world cup, in which the St. James Park has also been mentioned as one of the stadiums.

On 26th of June, 2007, Ashley received about 90% of the shares he needed to complete the turn over for the club, thus making the Newcastle United Football Club one of the richest clubs in the world.

Newcastle United Football Club was also estranged in controversy when it was confirmed by the Northumbria Police that Newcastle has been one of the clubs that has been involved into alleged corruption. As far as the kits and jerseys of this club was concerned, it got back its traditional colors of Maroon and Blue Hops which were considered to be the original colors of the club. Newcastle’s European representation colors have been different and inconsistent though. Some of the recent colors they have worn are yellow with black shorts, grey with black trim and also sky blue and black.

Adidas has been the manufacturer of this club’s kit since 1995 and its stadium can presently consist of 30000 spectators, while the organizers are planning to expand it to accommodate at least 60000 viewers.
