Based in Liverpool, Merseyside, Liverpool Football club is a very famous English Football Club all around the world. Having won the most trophies and cups than any other Clubs from England, Liverpool Football Club has been the most successful club in English Football’s history. Even though, they had last won their title back in 1990, but still they manage to boast as many as 18 English League titles so far, which is a record. They also have another English record as they have won five European cups as well. Only A.C. Milan and Real Madrid have won more times than Liverpool. Liverpool has also won League Cup and FA Cup seven times as well.

Liverpool
Liverpool Football club is planning to start work on a 60,000 seating capacity stadium, which could be even increased to 80,000 depending on the permissions they get. Since 1892, Liverpool has played at Anfield since it was founded. However, Liverpool is planning to come up with the new stadium during the summer season of 2010 near Stanley Park. The whole corpus is going to be funded by Tom Hicks and George Gillett, who have recently become the owners of the club. Some of the stars to have come through Liverpool have been Michael Owen, Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and many more.

The traditional colors of Liverpool have been white and red, though they have been using their home kit as complet red since 1960s. There have been a couple of disasters in the club’s fans history as well. In the 1985 European Cup Final at the Heysel Stadium, 39 fans died as a wall collapsed and then again 1989, when 96 fans lost lives due to overcrowding in the stadium.

Not many Football clubs boasts of having a ladies team, but Liverpool does have one. They are also going to play in the Premiership in 2007-08 as the got promoted from the Northern Championship in 2006-07. They have been using the tag line of Liverpool since 1995, and one of their greatest achievement till ate has been their FA Cup final appearance in 1996.
