Before discussing on creating a web page in visual basic we have to know about visual basic programming, its feature, advantages of using it, and many other important things about it. Visual Basic:-Visual basic is nothing but it is a third generation programming language and also it is a Integrated development environment (IDE).It was developed by Microsoft for web development in 1990. It is widely used programming language. It provides also a complete graphical development environment. Visual basic programming is also called event driven programming. The major concept of visual basic programming language is the use of object and the main object used in Visual Basic is called a form. When we open any project in visual basic then we start with a form. There are many controls in visual basic which are used with form. Controls are of various types like text boxes, check boxes, and command buttons.  All controls together are called Tool Box. We can also change properties of its control according to our choice and also according to our need. For it we have to go to control’s property window. We can also add events to the controls. Visual basic is best for developing applications and we can also design the appearance of our applications. We can assign properties to the object of our programs. Thus we can say that visual basic programming language is a good option for designing a web page. Now we will discuss on the topic creation of a web page with the help of visual basic.

                                               For developing a web page in visual studio primarily two things are needed. (1) Visual Web Developer and second is (2) The Dot net Framework. For creating a web page we open visual web developer. After it we click on file menu and choose new web site. When we click on new web site, a new web site dialogue box appears. Then under visual studio installed templates we choose Asp Dot Net web site. And in Location box we select file system and enter the name according to our choice and also we enter the name of the folder where we want to keep the pages of our web site which we are creating. And in the language list we choose the language either visual basic or visual c#. After it we click on ok button and the new web page is created named default.aspx. After creating a simple web page we can re design the web page according to our choice and according to client choice. We can also add new pages to the web page. For adding new item to the web site we right click on the web site and choose the option add new item. We select the item which we have to add and then click on add button. We can also add HTML to the page. We can also add text to the web page. We can switch to its design view. We can examine the page and code file. After creating the web page we can test it by running option. For it we press CTRL+F5 and check the result. Thus we can say that Visual basic is a good choice for designing a web page.
